SESSION: MITOCHONDRIAL FUNCTION AND AGEING

Mitochondria play a central role in ageing by regulating energy production, cellular repair, and metabolic resilience. Declines in mitochondrial function are linked to a range of age-related degenerative conditions, making mitochondrial health a key target for supporting healthspan. We’ll explore the key ingredients in this field, including CoQ10/Ubiquinol, PQQ, urolithin A, L-carnitine, creatine, B vitamins, as well as the growing interest in NAD⁺ boosters. But what does the science say for these ingredients, and are multi-ingredient approaches the future or could complexity impact efficacy?
