Serena Tongiani holds a degree in Pharmaceutical Science and a PhD in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science. She began her career at the University of Kansas, researching innovative drug delivery technologies. She later joined Schering-Plough and Merck, where she led anti-inflammatory drug development and Phase III studies. After serving as Chief Scientific Officer at Angelini Pharma, with responsibility for Business Development and Regulatory Affairs, she joined Indena in 2021 as Chief Portfolio Officer, overseeing global portfolio strategy and innovation.
