Professor Colin Selman studied Zoology at the University of Glasgow and completed a PhD at Durham University. He held research positions at the Universities of Aberdeen and Florida, Imperial College London, and University College London. After joining the University of Aberdeen as a lecturer in 2007, he returned to Glasgow in 2013 as Professor of Biogerontology. His research uses both in vivo and in vitro approaches across model and non-model organisms to investigate the biological mechanisms underlying ageing.
