Ara joined Otsuka in 2012 and leads M&A and venture investing for the company’s nutraceuticals segment. He has helped Otsuka expand its US Consumer Health footprint through the acquisitions of Bonafide, Uqora, MegaFood, and Daiya. At ONCE Ventures, Ara and his team seek novel, highly effective consumer health solutions across longevity, mental wellness, women's health, the microbiome, and personalized nutrition. Ara’s prior experience spans distressed investing (Oaktree Capital) and investment banking (UBS), and he holds a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Berkeley.
