Carlos graduated in 2000 from the University of Cadiz and obtained a master’s degree in marine science. Previously, he worked as a researcher at the IFAPA Institute in Cadiz, focusing on marine microalgae biotechnology. He is also the president of the EABA – the European Algae Biomass Association.
